我们是即将携笔从戎的国防生，无数次，我问自己，为什么选择军人这个职业

无数次，我肯定了自己：这是为了理想和信念，为了人生的历练。

选择军旅，红色的肩章意味着我们比普通大学生更多了一份责任与光荣；投身国防，我们任重而道远。

赋予我们力量和勇气的，是长征精神。

它涵盖了很多层面：面对学习和工作中的困难，首先要战胜的是自己，战胜自己的惰性，战胜自己的恐惧，挑战自我极限。

面对家庭，朋友，同学间的矛盾，我想：更应该从大局出发，以诚信为本，协调人际关系，舍弃小我，成就大我。

面对事业、成就、前途上的迷惑，必须坚韧顽强、勇于开拓，不达目的誓不退缩。

正是这种精神，鼓舞了一代代中国革命者前赴后继，换来了中华民族的解放，迎来改革开放的春风，与时俱进、昂首阔步掀开了历史的崭新篇章。

七十年的风雨，七十年的追求，七十年的缅怀，七十年的奋斗。

祖国已发生沧桑巨变，足以告慰先烈英灵。

红军都是钢铁汉，千锤百炼不怕难。

雪山低头迎远客，草毯泥毡扎营盘。

风雨侵衣骨更硬，野菜充饥志越坚。

官兵一致同甘苦，革命理想高于天。

万里长征，红色的经典，那英勇的足迹，深深镌刻在人类追求解放的史册中，为红军的后人们永远铭记和传承；那革命的英雄主义精神，始终激励中国人民走向一个无人能够预言的辉煌未来。

雷锋于一九四零年十二月十八日出生在湖南省望城县简家塘村的一个贫苦农民的家庭里.雷锋在不满七岁时就成了孤儿。

本家的六叔奶奶收养了他。

他为了帮助六叔奶奶家，常常去上山砍柴，可是，当地的柴山都被有钱人家霸占了，不许穷人去砍。

雷锋有一天到蛇形山砍柴，被徐家地主婆看见了，这个地主婆指着雷锋破口大骂，并抢走了柴刀，雷锋哭喊着要夺回砍柴刀，那地主婆竟举起刀在雷锋的左手背上边连砍三刀，鲜血顺着手指滴落在山路上......一九四九年八月，中国人民解放军路过雷锋的家乡。

雷锋看见宿营的队伍一住下来便向老乡问寒问暖，还帮助老乡挑水，扫地．买柴买菜按价付钱，不拿群众的一针一线，就从心底萌生了要参军的愿望。

雷锋找到部队的连长，坚决要当兵，当连长得知他苦难的身世后告诉他还小，等长大了才能当兵，并把一支钢笔送给了他，鼓励他要好好学习，长大了才能保卫和和建设中国。

一九五零年夏天，乡政府保送孤儿雷锋免费读书。

一九五六年夏天，从荷叶坝小学毕业，几年里，雷锋克服困难，勤奋学习，受到师生的的一致好评。

他帮助落后的同学，爱护集体的粮食，并与坏份子做斗争，受到学校老师、同学和乡亲们的一致好评。

在毕业典礼上，他上台发言，毅然要求留在农村，为建设社会主义新农村贡献自己微薄的力量。

一九五八年春天，雷锋来到困山湖农场当了一个拖拉机手。

一九五八年九月，雷锋来到鞍钢做了一名C－80推土机手。

一九五九年八月，雷锋来到弓长岭焦化厂参加基础建设。

第二年夏季的一天，他带领伙伴们冒雨奋战，保住了7200袋水泥免受损失，<<辽阳日报>>报道了雷锋抢救水泥的事,赞扬他舍己为人的事迹.雷锋在鞍山和焦化厂工作了一年零二个月,曾三次被评为先进工作者,五次被评为标兵,十八次被评为红旗手,荣获青年社会主义建设积极分子称号.从一九六一年开始，雷锋经常应邀去外地作报告，他出差机会多了，为人民服务的机会就多了，人们流传着这样一句话：“雷锋出差一千里，好事做了一火车”。

一次雷锋外出在沈阳站换车的时候，一出检票口，发现一群人围看一个背着小孩的中年妇女，原来这位妇女从山东去吉林看丈夫，车票和钱丢了。

雷锋用自己的津贴费买了一张去吉林的火车票塞到大嫂手里，大嫂含着眼泪说：“大兄弟，你叫什么名字，是哪个单位的

“雷锋说：“我叫解放军，就住在中国”。

五月的一天，雷锋冒雨要去沈阳，他为了赶早车，早晨5点多就起来，带了几个馒头就披上雨衣上路了，路上，看见一位妇女背着一个小孩，手还领着一个小女孩也正艰难地向车站走去。

雷锋脱下身上的雨衣披在大嫂身上，又抱起小女孩陪他们一起来到车站，上车后，雷锋见小女孩冷得发颤，又把自己的贴身线衣脱下来给她穿上，雷锋估计她早上也没吃饭，就把自己带的馒头给她们吃。

火车到了沈阳，天还在下雨，雷锋又一直把她们送到家里。

那位妇女感激地说：“同志，我可怎么感谢你呀

“ 过年的时候，战友们愉快地在一起搞些各种文娱活动。

雷锋和大家在俱乐部打了一阵乒乓球，就想到每逢年节，服务和运输部门是最忙的时候，这些地方是多么需要人帮忙啊。

他放下球拍，叫上同班的几个同志，一起请假后直奔附近的瓢儿屯车站，这个帮着打扫候车室，那个给旅客倒水，雷锋把全班都带动起来了。

雷锋就是选择永不停息地，全心全意地为人民做好事，难怪人们一见到为人民做好事的人就想起雷锋。

百岁将军孙毅的传奇故事2003年7月5日，德高望重、声闻遐迩的老将军孙毅走完了他人生的最后旅程。

他活了整整100岁。

提起孙毅，在军界和青少年中无人不晓。

年长的同僚称他“孙胡子”，年轻的军人称他“胡子将军”。

“孙胡子”绰号的来历1920年10月，孙毅高小还没毕业，因为家庭生活困难，就离开家乡出去找事做。

就在那个时候，他把自己原来的名字——孙俊华改成了孙毅。

按照他自己的说法，就是取“杀敌为果，致果为毅”的意思。

在旧军队中混了四五年，孙毅结识了一位后来对他的一生有着重要影响的朋友———赵博生。

那时孙毅在国民革命军第26路军参谋处做少校参谋，而赵博生是26路军的参谋长。

1931年12月14日，孙毅在赵博生的影响下参加了红军。

参加红军后，孙毅入了党，在红军学校担任训练部和俱乐部主任。

每逢重大节日，学校都要举行文艺演出，叶剑英校长常常亲自拉二胡。

有一次，校俱乐部主任赵品三编了一个活报剧《活捉敌师长》，因为敌师长陈时骥蓄着小胡子，而孙毅当时正留着胡子，所以，挑演员时选了孙毅。

于是，孙毅生平第一次登台演起了节目。

演出很成功，赵品三半开玩笑地跟他说：“你千万别剃掉胡子，下次演节目还要找你

”孙毅的胡子也果真再没有剃，一直伴随了他一生。

严格的军旅中是不允许留胡子的。

我军的开国将帅中，被破例准许留胡子的除孙毅外还有3位，他们是元帅贺龙、上将李克农、上将王震。

孙毅有一次遇上了迎面策马而至的总司令朱德和军委参谋长刘伯承。

朱总司令勒缰下马问道：“为啥要留这胡子

”孙毅回答道：“人遇到危难时，身上的油跑了，肉掉了，就这胡子不跑，还一个劲地往上长。

这胡子的义气，像人的精气神，剃不得

”朱老总听罢好一阵开怀大笑。

最后，他嘱咐孙毅，留下这胡子，别人有意见，你就说是我朱德和破例让你留的。

这两件事之后，红军中“孙胡子”的外号也就传开了。

包八斤的班里有个同学叫斯琴，生活非常困难，八斤不仅经常给予他多方面的帮助，还主动号召同学们募捐，为斯琴解决了学习用品。

有一年，小斯琴患了肺炎，先后在哲盟医院和内蒙古医学院附属医院治疗了一个多月，这给本来就生活困难的斯琴增加了更大的负担。

八斤把自己买衣服的钱全部捐出去，还发出了倡议书。

在八斤的号召下，全校师生和社会上的一些人加入资助行列，短时间内解决了斯琴的全部医疗费。

1993 年12 月9 日下午，哈日干图飘起雪花，刮起大风，学校怕发生意外提前放了学。

等同学们走后，八斤把所有门窗关好，冒着风雪往回走，忽然听到风雪中有小孩的哭声，他不顾一切朝哭声跑去。

在风雪中找了好长时间。

他终于在一个沙湾里找到了迷了路被风雪吹走的小姑娘。

当他将小姑娘背到她们家的时候，自己的手脚已失去了知觉。

1994 年12 月的一天，八斤与往常一样最早来到教室里点着火炉复习功课。

突然听到外面的人们喊：“着火了

二年级教室着火了

”八斤跑出去一看，只见二年级教室房顶上燃起了大火，他奋不顾身脱掉棉袄冲进火海，兄弟班级的师生们也相继赶来，奋战了一个多小时，大火被扑灭。

事后，他被苏木和学校评为“在危险面前挺身而出的赖宁式的英雄学生。

”1995 年夏天，哈日干图遭受了百年不遇的洪水的袭击。

7 月21 日，参加了一上午抗洪救灾劳动的八斤，乘下午的功夫去找老师商讨假期作业的难题。

当他走到半路的时候，听到有小孩喊：“决来人啊，有人落水了

”八斤像离弦的箭一样飞跑过去。

看见路边水渠里露着个人头，原来是村里11岁的阿木古朗不慎掉进了水中。

八斤不会游泳，但毫不犹豫地潜入水中，他几次将阿木古朗推上岸，可是又一次次地滑下去。

最后，他用尽全部力量又一次推了上来，在岸上几个孩子的帮助下，阿木古朗被救起，而八斤已却精疲力竭地沉了下去。

岸上的几个孩子哭成一片，听到消息的人们及时赶来救起了八斤。

八斤先后被评为通辽市“十名优秀少先队员”、通辽市“百名优秀少先队员”、内蒙古自治区“十佳蒙古族少年”、全国“十佳少先队员”等。

1995年他应邀参加了“通辽市优秀少先队夏令营”活动。

What image does Beijing intend to create for itself once it has the opportunity to host the 2008 Olympics? It is known to all that the Beijing Municipal Government has already set the theme for the future games: New Beijing, Great Olympics. For me, the 2008 Olympics will be a great green Olympics illuminated with two more special colors: yellow and red. First, yellow is a meaningful color. The Yellow River is China’s mother river and the cradle of Chinese civilization. We are of the yellow race and descendants of the Yellow Emperor. This color has a special origin and great significance for the Chinese people. Beijing is the capital of New China and previously the capital for nine dynasties in Chinese history. So, yellow will naturally add splendor to the 2008 Games. Secondly, the 2008 Olympics will be a red pageant. Red is another traditionally cherished color for the whole country. We adore red.
